I've known Joan since I was 5 years old, and Tom for about as long, from when they lived in West Haven. They were two wonderful people who belonged together and enjoyed every minute of their time together. Their love was endless, not only for each other but for their family. I pray you all find strength in the their love and know that now they are reunited with Eddie. They will always be remembered for the loving, caring people that they were. I for one have many memories of Joan that still make me laugh. That's how I will choose to remember her. May they both rest in peace, as they would have wanted to, together!
My family and I are so very sorry for your loss. Please know they are in a better place now and forever. Keep their memories alive by thinking of the many happy times you shared. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Vanacore Family,
Words can not express to you how our hearts broke over your loss, as Tom and Joan were very, very, special people to us.
Christina was the first Recipient of the Edward Vanacore Scholarship issued to a graduating student from North Haven High School. It was at this graduation we had the honor to spend time with your parents who attended the graduation, and they also had presented flowers to Chris at the end of the celebration. It was a true honor to meet your folks, and we felt a tremendously strong connection to Eddie and your parents from that point forward. The grace and kindness they showed toward us, we will never forget.
Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, but always remember the love and kindness your parents represented to all of those who had the pleasure of knowing them - we will always hold them close to our heart.
God Bless.
Donna and Chris
Tom and Joan were two very special people and they will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We will miss them very much!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
Love,
Ken & Shawn
To the Vanacore Family,
I was your parents mail lady many years ago. I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I remember many wonderful conversations with them over the years. The love they had for each other as well as their children and grandchildren was evident in their eyes as they spoke if them. Rarely was there a sunny day Tom wasnt in his garden or playing with Drew in the driveway. Joan of course was never far away, always checking out rhe front door. The loss of Eddie took a visible toll on both although they handled it with such grace and support of each other. Todays tragedy was a shock, the fact that they once again were together was not. For together is were they belonged. Now I pray they are with Eddie, all pain free and in peace as I hope the family is. My Prayers and thoughts are with you all,
Deepest Sympathy
Linda Connors
