 Philomena J. Valentino Milione, 85, of 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Masonicare Health Center. She was the wife of the late Nicholas N. Milione. Born in New Haven on August 28, 1924; a daughter of the late Angelo and Maria Urbano Valentino. Mrs. Milione had worked on her Valentino family farm and later was the owner and operator of the former P&J Florists of North Haven. Mother of Nicholas (Eleanor) Milione of MA, Mary Lou Marek of WA, April Ann (Ronald) Dumais of FL, Victoria (Frank) Grasso, Jr. of Branford and Charles Milione of Wallingford. Grandmother of Mark DeMartino, Jennifer (Dominic) Grasso-Torlish, Frank Grasso III, Wendy Marie Milione, Marcia (Thomas) Hanson and Rhonda (Roger) Lamb. Great-grandmother of Adrianna & Gabriella Torlish, Brittni Grasso, Jackie & Lauren Hanson. Sister of Anthony Valentino, Mary Landino both of North Haven and the late Carmel Affinito, Joseph and Mattie Valentino.
Her Funeral Procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 11:15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00.
