 Anne Meryle Palmieri Nye, 74, of Bassett Road, North Haven, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at St. Raphael’s Hospital. Born in New Haven on May 10, 1935; a daughter of the late Frank F. and Anne Rayner Palmieri. Anne had worked for the North Haven Board of Education having worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Green Acres Elementary School. She was a member of the Northeast Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary. Mother of George L. (Joan) Nye and Michael G. (Sandy) Nye all of North Haven. Grandmother of George L. Nye III, Michael G. Nye, Jr., Kathrin R. and Gabriella M. Nye. Great-grandmother of Alexis Paige. Sister of Frank F. (Lorraine) Palmieri of MA and the late John & Lois Palmieri.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Rd., North Haven and are invited to attend the Committal Services immediately following in Beaverdale Memorial Park. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
