William “Billy” Parente, 50, of Woodgate Circle, Enfield, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Billy was born in New Haven on September 7, 1959; son of Leonard M. and Barbara Florio Parente of Bethany. He had worked for Liberty Mutual for 20 years and later as an accident appraiser for Hanover Insurance. Billy loved sports, weight lifting, the outdoors, golf and especially his summers in Maine with his family. Brother of Janet Banderas of Wallingford, Leonard Parente and wife Francine of Trumbull, Barbara Roberts and husband Russell of Southington. Best friend of Jessica Zelich of Enfield. Uncle of Jennifer, Dan & Ben Banderas, Michael Jake & Zachary Francis Parente, and Rachel Anita Roberts. Also survived by his loving cats, Chachi & Rocky.
Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to St. Frances Cabrini Church, Pond Hill Rd., North Haven to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am Thursday. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.

Maria Angela Petrucci Palmieri, 88, of Surrey Drive, North Haven, formerly of Atwater Street, West Haven passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 peacefully with her loving family surrounding her at her daughters home in North Haven. She was the wife of the late Vincenzo Palmieri for 63 years. Born in Faicchio, Province of Benevento, Italy on January 31, 1922; a daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinetta Petrillo Petrucci. Maria came to America from Faicchio with her family settling in West Haven in 1958: she had worked for the former Strouse-Adler of New Haven from 1959 until her retirement in 1986. In 2006 she moved to North Haven to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Maria was a loving person; liked cooking and gardening; she especially loved her granddaughters and her great-grandchildren. Mother of Immacolata “Mickey”DePasquale and her husband Anthony of North Haven, Carmine Palmieri of California. Grandmother of Rosanne DelVecchio and her husband Andrew of North Haven; Donna Milbank and her husband Dana of Washington, D.C. Great-grandmother of Christopher & Ariana DelVecchio and Paola Milbank. Predeceased by a sister Michelena Massaro and brothers Michele & Carmen Petrucci. The family wishes to thank a dear friend Josephine Reilly; also Dr. F. Saracco, and the Masonicare Home Health & Hospice especially Rosanne and Monalisa.
Her Funeral Procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Church, New Haven at 10:00. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. The visiting hours will be Monday morning from 8 to 9:30 at the funeral home.
