Thomas R. Vanacore, 73, and his beloved wife Joan E. Vanacore, 70, of 2 Pleasant Drive, North Haven passed away Monday, May 10, 2010.  Mr. Vanacore was born in New Haven on April 17, 1937; son of the late Thomas and Theresa Sorbo Vanacore.  Mrs. Vanacore was born in New Haven on April 23, 1940; daughter of the late Henry and Emily Veith Pinne.  Mr. Vanacore was the President of Preferred Manufacturing since 1972.  They both enjoyed their home in Boothbay, Maine. They are survived by their children: Thomas J. (Cindy) Vanacore, Michael Vanacore all of North Haven, Patricia (Lawrence) Gensicki of Hamden, Brian (Kris) Vanacore of North Branford, John (Chris) Vanacore of North Haven and the late Edward R. Vanacore; their grandchildren: Margaret, Teena, Amy-Lyn, Brian, Jr., Thomas, Patrick, Sarah and Michael Vanacore, and Drew Gensicki.  Mr. Vanacore leaves brothers, Joseph Vanacore of North Haven, John Vanacore of East Haven and a sister, Rosalie Viele of West Haven.

Funeral Services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Friday morning at 9:00. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Edward R.
