Marie Constance Italia DePillo, 97, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April, 20, 2010 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Wallingford.  She was born in Boston, MA on July 20, 1912; daughter of the late Pasquale and Pasqualina Rousso DePillo.  Marie attended local schools in New Haven , graduating  from Hillhouse High School.  In 1991 while a student at Southern Connecticut Community College (Gateway) she was elected to Psi Beta, a national honor society in physiology, for community and junior colleges.  Marie retired from the former W.T. Grant Company as a sales associate and the Access Analytical Systems Company in Branford.  She was a life long resident of New Haven and spent most of her retirement years living at the Bella Vista housing complex.  She had many interests, she was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, knitting, ceramics, crossword puzzles, traveling and taking care of her plants.  She was also active in various organizations.  Sister-in-law of Phyllis DePillo of North Haven.  Aunt of David and Lawrence DePillo of California, Vincent DePillo (Victoria, and daughter Olivia) of Westport and Stephen DePillo of North Haven.  Predeceased by brothers, Salvatore and Vincent DePillo; a sister at an early age Lucia DePillo and sister-in-law Rosalie DePillo.
